Champagne Jello Shots
Effervescent, sparkly, and a little bit glamorous.
Ingredients
- 1 box (3 oz) berry or strawberry Jello
- ½ cup boiling water
- 1 cup chilled champagne (or sparkling wine)
- ½ cup vodka (plain or flavored, such as raspberry or vanilla)
- Edible glitter, gold sugar, or fresh berries for garnish (optional)
Instructions
-
Dissolve the Jello:
In a heatproof bowl, pour ½ cup of boiling water over the Jello powder. Stir for about 2 minutes, until the gelatin is completely dissolved and smooth. -
Add the sparkle:
Slowly stir in 1 cup of chilled champagne and ½ cup of vodka. Stir gently to retain some of the champagne’s bubbles while blending the mixture evenly. -
Pour and chill:
Carefully pour the mixture into small clear shot cups, silicone molds, or elegant mini glasses. Refrigerate for at least 3–4 hours, or until fully set. -
Garnish with style:
Just before serving, top each shot with a sprinkle of edible glitter, a dusting of gold sugar, or a single fresh berry for an elegant finish.
Tips
Chill your champagne: Using it cold helps maintain the fizz and ensures your shots set evenly.
Flavor twist: Try substituting part of the vodka with peach schnapps or elderflower liqueur for a romantic flavor.
Make ahead: These can be made a day in advance—just cover and refrigerate until it’s time to serve.
